This is especially important for all of you who have “tried” to do anything and have subsequently failed. Let me just state up front that whenever you “try” to do anything you are actively setting yourself up for failure. “Try” means to not do. Either you “do” or you “do not”. It’s that simple. In fact, go ahead and eliminate the word “try” from your vocabulary, right now. When you say “try” you are telling your unconscious mind that there is a back door, a scapegoat, a way to self-sabotage. When you say you “tried” you are really saying that you did not commit.
Anything – and I mean ANYTHING – that you set out to achieve requires that you commit to the following:
Time, Money, & Energy:
In order for your goals to manifest in the real world you need to “do” something. This involves investing your time, money, and energy toward getting your desired goal — not necessarily in equal parts. For example, if you’re holding a workshop you need to invest time and energy into creating the workshop, picking the time and date, and marketing it to your prospective attendees. Say you’ve decided that you will book the space for the workshop once you’ve got a minimum of 15 participants confirmed. WRONG ANSWER! If you want something to show up in the physical world, then it must have a physical space to go to. This can be a contract, a deposit, or payment for the space. The only reason you wouldn’t commit the money to the space would be because you don’t fully believe that you will achieve your goal. If you don’t believe in yourself, then neither will the universe or anyone else for that matter.
The second layer of commitment has to do with being “congruent”. This means that your mind, body, and heart must be on-board with your goals unconditionally. Success is the only option. Often times, people let the negative disaster thoughts run on in their minds. Make the conscious choice to believe in yourself, your goals, and your ability. What you focus on grows — so why not make it BIG and fabulous! “Do” or “do not”. If you believe in your goals 60% of the time and then worry and fret about them not manifesting 40% of the time, this means that you are not congruent. Stop. Breathe. Focus on what you want.
It is essential that you commit time, money, energy, and congruency whenever you set out to achieve anything — especially happiness! If you don’t commit fully then your goal will either not manifest or (at best) take A LOT longer to come to fruition.
